Torso Orthoses
Trunk braces stabilize, relieve pressure on, and support the spine in everyday life
Trunk braces are used to stabilize, relieve pressure on, and correct the spine. They are used, among other things, after surgery, for herniated discs, spinal instability, or misalignments such as scoliosis, and can help reduce discomfort, improve posture, and support movement in everyday life.
Depending on the clinical presentation and treatment goals, various treatment options are available—ranging from konfektionierten Rumpforthesen to custom-made Maßorthesen or medical corsets. Proper selection and fitting are crucial for providing care tailored to the patient’s needs.
A particular focus is placed on treating children and adolescents with scoliosis. Custom-made scoliosis braces are precisely tailored to the patient’s anatomy and specific treatment goals. Scoliosis care is one of our center’s key areas of specialization and is provided in close collaboration with treating physicians and therapy facilities.
Another service we offer is the “ Rückenorthesen-Testwochen,” which take place twice a year. During these events, participants can test various Orthesen and fitting systems under expert guidance and compare them directly with one another. This simplifies the selection of a suitable orthosis and allows for an assessment of fit, function, and suitability for everyday use.
